A New Season!

As we begin a new season of programming at Warrior Development Institute, I am reminded of how deeply our community needs spaces of hope, stability, and opportunity. Every day, we see families navigating challenges that stretch far beyond the walls of any classroom or gym. Our mission has never been more important. Our prayerfully led goal is to support not only the youth we serve, but the families and communities they come from. This work is about strengthening the whole ecosystem around a young person, because their future is shaped by the people who stand beside them.

I am energized and humbled to continue leading this movement. Our programs are growing, our reach is expanding, and our commitment remains unwavering. From entrepreneurial training and life‑skills development to recreational, developmental, and competitive sports, we are building pathways that help young people rise with confidence, purpose, and support.

I also want to honor the partners who have walked with us on this journey. Congregations with Communy believed in our mission from the beginning and provided the grant support that helped launch our first year of programming. Their investment in community transformation continues to inspire us. Morningstar Golf Club opened the doors for our athletic program from the beginning, and we remain grateful for their partnership and encouragement.

Today, we are blessed to work alongside Sullivan’s Hardware & Garden, Allisonville Home & Garden by Sullivan’s, and Christian Community Missionary Baptist Church, whose commitment to youth and family development strengthens everything we do. Their support allows us to expand our programs, deepen our impact, and serve more young people with excellence.

As we look ahead, I am excited for the partnerships forming with Tab Recreation, Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, and New Beginnings Fellowship Church. Together, we will bring high‑quality recreational and competitive basketball leagues, tournaments, travel teams, and WDI’s entrepreneurial and developmental programs to youth across Central, and the greater Indianapolis area. This collaboration will help us reach even more families and build a city‑wide network of support, growth, and opportunity.

This season is more than a new chapter, it is a continuation of a promise. A promise that we will not fail our youth. A promise that we will stand with families. A promise that we will build warriors ready to shape their future with courage, discipline, and hope.

I am grateful for every partner, every parent, every volunteer, and every young person who believes in this mission. We are just getting started, and together, we will continue building warriors for the future.
