Reflecting on our first year, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. This journey has been marked by meaningful growth, new partnerships, and programs that truly serve our community’s needs. Our commitment to building stronger individuals and neighborhoods has never been clearer, and the path ahead looks even more promising. Even through challenges, our young people and community have persevered and the future goals are clearer everyday!

Expanding Mental Health Support with Warriors Strength from Within

One of our proudest achievements this year is the launch of Warriors Strength from Within, a mental health program designed to provide support and resilience-building tools for our community members. Mental health often goes overlooked, yet it is the foundation for personal and collective well-being. This program offers workshops, counseling sessions, and peer support groups that help participants develop coping strategies and emotional strength. The feedback has been inspiring, and we are looking forward to the positive impact it will have in such an area of need!

Building Financial Confidence with the Warrior Financial Literacy Program

Financial literacy is a key to independence and stability. Our Warrior Financial Literacy program has empowered many to take control of their finances through practical education on budgeting, saving, credit management, and investing. This year, we are thrilled to announce an upcoming expansion in partnership with the Financial Power Summit. This collaboration will bring expert speakers, workshops, and resources to deepen financial knowledge and open new opportunities for our community.

By equipping people with these skills, we help them build a secure future and break cycles of financial hardship.

Growth in Creative Skills: Beauty Builders and Culinary Creators

Creativity and skill development are essential for personal growth and career opportunities. Our Beauty Builders and Culinary Creators programs have seen significant growth this year. Beauty Builders offers training in cosmetology and personal care, while Culinary Creators focuses on cooking skills and food entrepreneurship.

Both programs provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and pathways to certification or small business development. We are proud to partner with local businesses like Sullivan’s Hardware and Garden, which support our programs by providing supplies and expertise. These partnerships strengthen our community ties and create real-world opportunities for participants.

Restarting A Warriors Journey Mentoring Program

Mentorship is a powerful tool for growth and guidance. After a pause, I am excited that we are restarting our A Warriors Journey mentoring program. This initiative connects youth and adults with mentors who provide support, advice, and encouragement. This is done in both group settings as well as smaller or more individualized opportunities. The program focuses on personal development, education, and overall encouragement and support.

Mentors and mentees build strong relationships that help navigate challenges and celebrate successes. We are excited to see this program regain momentum and positively impact more lives.

Introducing Kingdom Warriors Restoration Academy

Our newest venture and one that really has my excitement level through the roof, the Kingdom Warriors Restoration Academy, represents a bold step forward. In partnership with Kingdom Builders 2.4, this program offers trade training and community development opportunities. Youth and at-need community members learn skills in home rehabilitation, working alongside general contractors and licensed trade professionals.

Participants gain hands-on experience in construction, electrical work, plumbing, and more. This training prepares them to join the workforce, start their own businesses, or contribute to community revitalization efforts. The homes restored through this program will be returned to the community as affordable housing, rental properties, or revitalized spaces that enhance neighborhood quality.

This program not only builds skills but also restores pride and hope in our community.

Our first year has been a foundation for lasting impact. The programs we have launched and expanded are already making a difference in people’s lives. As we move forward, we remain committed to growing these initiatives and exploring new ways to support our community’s strength and resilience.
